Coming up on my junior year in college I was determined to find an internship to gain hands on experience in my field. Lori Ann’s (Dr. G) advisory sessions on the companies and some early guidance helped me stand out in interviews. The process of finding an internship or job can be extremely challenging and defeating. Dr. G encouraged me to continue the search. She made sure I had what I needed to interview. The most helpful session was evaluating two different positions that had been offered to me. I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do. Both positions seemed like good experiences. However, after meeting with Dr. G on the two different types of positions, I selected the position that best fit the type of experience, I wanted. I continue to appreciate how Dr. G and I still check in, discuss how I’m doing, and how the internship is going. -Michelle S.
